![]() ![]() Interestingly, a deleted Tweet from a PC Gamer writer showed an image of the cover of the next issue of the magazine, which said that A Total War Saga: Troy will take place in a ‘world of Gods and Monsters’. A war which you’ll be controlling through large-scale strategy battles, just as we’ve come to expect from the previous Total War games. Either way, thanks to the description on the Steam page, we know that the game’s plot will specifically centre around Paris, the Prince of Troy, sailing away with Helen of Sparta, which upsets Helen’s father, King Menelaus, so much that he decides to start a war over it. This is notably the furthest back in history the Total War franchise has ever gone, with some historians even doubting whether the Trojan War even took place due to an apparent lack of historical evidence. Because the main entries in the Total War franchise have been consistently brilliant, so we honestly don’t think we have anything to worry about.Īs its name suggests, A Total War Saga: Troy will take place in ancient Greece, with a focus on the Trojan War.
